
With great enthusiasm, I’m thrilled to introduce this month’s Meet the Team guest. Joining the blog for the month of July is Pete, MRW Systems’ support manager and senior engineer.
Pete came to MRW Systems in 2009 as a Network Engineer and has grown in his role and now oversees a small army of techs. His technical expertise and great customer service make him an outstanding resource for our clients and our staff.

What is your role at MRW Systems?
I am the support manager for the help desk and Net Admins. Also, I work on most of the big projects for clients.
What is your proudest moment at MRW Systems?
I cannot think of one proud moment that stands out. I am just very proud of how much we have grown and accomplished over the years.
What does a typical day look like to you?
On a typical day, I work with the reactive team and net admins and discuss any issues that may be coming up. I look at the scheduling calendar to have techs onsite for various jobs. Then work on any projects that we have going on.
Before working at MRW Systems, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I would have to say my first job. For my first job, I worked at a pig farm that was down the road from where I lived. I would have to get the pigs on and off the stock trailer during the week. The automated feeding machines needed to be filled at the end of each day. Then I would do general repairs around the barn.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I like to read, play video games, and ride horses. I also enjoy Civil War history and participate in Re-enacting.
What is one tech thing you can’t live without?
I need something that plays music.
What fictional character do you relate to the most and why?
I am not sure on this one. I might have to go with Dirk Gently. He tends to think that everything will find a way to work out. One of my favorite quotes in from one of the books:
“I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.”
If you had to pick, what superpower would you want and why?
Ability to heal quickly. I hate getting sidelined with an injury.
What is your favorite and least favorite foods?
My favorite food is pork and sauerkraut. The least is liver.
Lastly, what are three things still left on your bucket list?
- Revisit some of the countries I already have
- Learn to play guitar properly
- Continue to look for new things to experience
